A Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Dr. Jeffrey Gagliano, MD, has served as Team Physician, USA Ski Team and Team Physician, USA Men’s Rugby Team after being an athlete himself at Cornell University.
Originally from Smithtown, NY, Dr. Gagliano previously lived in Vail, CO, working as a Beaver Creek ski patroller and white-water guide. He was valedictorian for his master’s degree in physiology at Columbia University in NYC, performing and publishing research in cardiovascular physiology and the immunogenetics of maternal-fetal HIV transmission.
As a doctor, he believes a product like Soxxy compression socks can benefit those recovering, training, traveling and more.
“I have to think that the ability to reduce the risk of DVT is most important to me,” adds Dr. Gagliano.
During medical school and residency, his orthopedic research interests included the molecular biology of fracture healing and upper extremity trauma.
He has provided orthopedic care and game coverage for the Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies, so when puts his reputation behind Soxxy, I’m going to listen.
“I’m most proud of my fantastic family, who each keep me on my toes, whether it’s athletics, wit or academic discussion. For example, we got some snow overnight, and I skied with my son today, and I can tell he’s going to be better than me soon (he’s only 7).
Dr. Gagliano also enjoys mountain biking, fishing, surfing and golf.
